Instructions: Download all archives of Sangokushi to the same folder then open the first one using winrar (winrar can be found on the site this game was uploaded for [nyu-anime.blogspot.com])or 7zip and you should extract the contents. Mount the install file using daemon or something (you could burn the files to disc if you wanted instead) then run the installer, although it is not in English you just have to click next through it, once the install process gets to files with name along lines of movie02 you should mount the game file the installion will continue and finish.
Although one can play the game without the expansion installed alot of translation patches are designed for Sangokushi with the expansion installed.
Once you have downlaoded all the archives for the Powerup Kit (expansion) to the same folder repeat the process of extracting the content of the archives.
This time you have an installer file so no need to mount, run the file, do not worry if it is slow for abit, it is still processing. When it starts up it will promt you for the fodler where you installed Sangokushi11, be something like c>pogram files>Koei>San11 or wherever you choose.
ventually it will promt you for a language to choose from, you have three choices, top being Chinese, middle also being Chinese and bottom being Japanese. Unless you are literate in one of the languages it does not matter what you pick (if you are literate in chinese or Japanese then pick your preference) as you will use the English patch so just pick the first option.
When the installation complete if you want to play in English then open the Cao Shang .5 english translaton pach that you will have got lik from this post and downloaded, place it in the install directory of Sangokushi which maybe C>Program files> Koei>San11 or whatever you selected then simply use that to play the game from now on instead of the normal game exe.
This patch seems to be the best currently out compared to the others, it translates the menus neara ll of the ingame text with barely anything being missing however one should note that the grammer is not great and some other minor things so not perfect English. The game is fully playable though and goals understandable, and will probaly improve in later translation patch releases.

I followed your instrunction word by word.But when I try to start the game it give me an error window.Maybe I have to install a crack?

I am having trouble with the PUK. It'll load the pre-installation, but it won't take me to an installation for the PUK, and it's quite aggravation.
Never encountered problem installing PUK besides the long laoding time, amke sure you installed the main game and direct the installer to the fodler where it is installed.
can someone please tell me how to mount the instal file when youve unzipped it with winrar?
i clicked the mount option and selected the install file on daemon but it says its invalid or something.
and ive only downloaded the ROTTK XI without the expansion

but after i have done the download and installed i still can't get "chaoshang" to work when i click it. can anyone help ?
Just tested again, it works even on vista. Make sure when you install the expension (puk) you install it to the same directory as installed the main game then use cao shang exe to run it from then on.
If a few people are still having problems, post more details info, perhaps it is your operating system.

thanks heaps, game + puk with translation worked fine, and then i tried opening the game again and it just stopped working. the window opens and before the "koei" video can play it closes.
anyone got any ideas? the only thing i could think of is something to do with the video, because the only difference between the last time i played was that i installed some codecs + realplayeralternative. thats about it.
Yes it is most likely your new codecs Ken if it crashes when the movie starts. Alot of codecs have conflicts with games, my suggestion is you uninstall the new codecs and install K-lite mega codec pack http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm
I used CCCP before but k-lite mega is better compilation, you can play near all formats, ogm, mkv etc and it works with the game too because I played it before.

i downloaded all 13 archives and unzipped them in the same folder, but i wonder where is this Daemon thing fit in? am i suppose to install this thing in the "Install" folder in the newly created ROTK XI folder where i just unzipped the archives? i did intall Daemon but then nothing happen when i click on the icon (with CD-like shape) what did i do wrong here?
never mind. i installed the daemon tool and mounted the image like you said, but then the progress stopped at the line movie02 with a warning message which i can't read/understand. i try to bypassed that by right clicking through it but it just won't let me go beyond that point so i think the game installation was a total failure. can you give me some pointers here? thanks
Thanks for the upload, it worked. But what about the language selection when installing the PUK file, should it change the language of the game? Because i choose BIG5 hoping i couold play the chinese version instead but it was still all in japanese. Any help would be appreciated.

You should be able to download 600 mb like every 2 hrs not 3 fles a day, you probably just lost your connection. Change IP if on dynamic to download more than 600 mb if do not feel like waiting.
I do not play the game much as it is time consuming like a long chess match and I am too busy ish.

I think I intially installed the game in Japanese. Then tested in Chinese, either way the voices are in Chinese I think just text changes. So do not think should effect starting it up. I have vista visual settings on low so to conserve ram normally, not sure if effects.
I tested the universal patch you mentioned too and it worked fine.
Perhaps try running the file you can see in first image "(NoCD Patch)(060317) 三國志11" or try the other laguage intalls. It took me a bit of trial and error but worked whe i used cao shang (which maybe bypasses some of security checks).

I installed everything and I'm ready to play, but when start the game, my computer tells me put in my CD (which I assume is the game CD).
How do I get around that? I use daemon.

It asked me too instially aswell, I just used the cao Shang exe and worked fine. I did however run the "(NoCD Patch)(060317) 三國志11" file before hand.

Perhaps someone uploading the files onto mediafire would be a faster and easier solution...that is rather than having to deal with megaupload's annoying download limit and trying to work your way around it. It is especially a pain for those with static IP addresses and have no luck working out the solutions you provided. I may do it whenever the downloads finish.
<.< I am not getting into the whole use this filesharing site over the one you use. I have a few reasons for using the one I do. One of which being files will *not* expire on my account (because I pay for it and stuff) saving me alot of time in not having to reupload.
For those who are complaining about 600mb every 2 hrs on static. I downloaded this on a torrent at a speed of aprox 3-5kb/s so you can take a guess how long that took me...
I also have a slow upload rate, 28kb before but on this network right now more like 4-8 if stuff uploads at all.
All my friends use megaupload too for uploading, my suggestion is for you to use megaupload during the happy hour or you could buy premium or get a better ISP.
I would prefer it if you did not mirror it on mediafire as I went to procure and upload it so would kind of seem ungrateful.

Corrupted when you tried to extract? Check that you have all the archives and they are completed.
i installed the original fine, but when i try to install the puk, it unpacks something then disappears...is there a way to make it actually install the puk?
For those having problem installing the PUK on Vista:
Right click on the installer and choose "Run as Administrator".
That should do it.
Now have fun conquering China.

First of all, I want to thank you so much for uploading the game, it makes downloading so much faster. Secondly, I would like to ask if anyone know how to install and play the game in Chinese. I have tried to install both of the Chinese languages big5 and gb something (first and second option) but when I start the game all I see was Japanese. Also, I do have DirectX 9.0c, however, when starting the game I can't see any intro movie. Lastly, I did not use the English translation patch but am still able to play the game w/o CD minus the language problem mentioned above. So if anyone can help me with these problem (especially the language problem), I would really appreciate it. Thanks again!!!

Thanks for posting this. I actually have the U.S. English version, but I'm getting this for the PUK. Quick question, is the original Sangouki 11 (the one with 13 rar files) only in Japanese? I can read Chinese but it seems that whatever option I choose leads to a Jap version game.

I downloaded RTKXI PUK. When I extract, everything seem be OK, I has an EXE file. But when I run it, it show Unpacking... after a few minute it stop and I got a error message " Can not open file:English.dat"
I think problem is size of file. My EXE size is 568MB
I search on Internet and find a file has 574MB
Can anyone help?

The packed PUK is damaged, thats why u cant unpack it.
I did it. The file isn't damage, problem is your disc space. When you run EXE file, it extract itself to Temp folder on drive which installed OS ( my path is C:\My Documents and Setting\....\Local Setting\Temp ).
So if drive C is not enough size ( < 600MB ) then it can't extract all file ( include 6 files ) and cause error. You just clean your drive and run it again
PUK part 3 is corrupted, redownloaded several times but no joy
Anyone know a virtual image mounter that can run this? Alcohol soft can find it but reads it as a 0 kb file. Also I can't use dameon tools because for some reason SP2 keeps fucking my computer up. (Had to master/slave it to salvage, then reformat twice in the past.)
I can't get the thing to mount. I went into the install folder and tried both files in there (.mdf, .mds) and both give errors. How do I mount it right?

Either your video card or your codecs, check the min requirements, if you meet them then it might be a conflict with codecs.
